In September of 1999 the Pioneer Historical Society undertook a major project to save the historical records of our World War II veterans. Many veterans had already passed away and their stories and records have been lost forever. Our goal was to publish a book containing some of the information on each veteran to be shared by the community in honor of these brave men and women. The information contained in the book is only a sampling of what is on file at the Historical Society.
