This 350-page book reports the descendants of John & Magdalena [Stambaugh] Ickes and Allied Descendants of John Ickes, a Revolutionary soldier who came to Bedford County with part of his family in 1792. Volume 2 of this book is out of print. The Pioneer Library has a copy, which is not for sale. Library staff find little if any difference between Volume i and Volume 2. Furthermore, Volume 1 has a printing date of 1999 whereas Volume 2 has a printing date that is a year earlier.
